Grady County Rural Water, Sewer and Solid Waste Management District No. 6 contracted with Poe & Associates to design as well as manage construction on an Alternate Water Supply System. This project will allow the District to be self-sufficient rather than rely on another system to provide for its water needs. The project consists of new wells and well houses, three new water storage standpipes, approximately 50 miles of pipeline ranging in size from 2” to 12”, radio telemetry and a new Automated Meter Reading (AMR) system, including replacing or installing 1,400 meters.
