Surveyor/Title Agent

Poe & Associates is seeking a Surveyor / Title Agent providing as-needed support to survey crews as well as title and right-of-way research.  Applicants need to be able to work across multiple projects, possess strong communication skills and have the initiative to work independently.


  • Collect and process field data for topographic surveys
  • Stake out parcel surveys and right-of-way
  • Operate GPS and conventional survey equipment
  • Read and write legal descriptions
  • Research title and right-of-way
  • Obtains and reviews title information and checks accuracy of legal descriptions against maps
  • Determines from county records the current ownership and legal description of land required for a project
  • Searches property records for conveyances, liens, and other instruments
  • Plots legal descriptions, including metes and bounds
  • Compiles complete abstract of title from patent to current date
  • Identifies title defects and reports these to Title Supervisor
  • Prepares runsheet of all records compiled showing title to property and effects of liens and encumbrances on titles


  • Knowledge of basic land and topographic surveying principles and practices
  • Familiar with survey standards and procedures
  • Familiar with survey software, data collectors, total stations, auto level and GPS
  • Familiar with Microstation is a plus
  • Needs to have an understanding of Section, Township and Ranges
  • Ability to understand legal descriptions
  • Knowledge of land and right of way easement documentation
  • Detailed knowledge of researching courthouse records both online and in county clerk’s offices
  • Ability to compile and prepare chains of title, make abstracts of title with summaries of all matters and instruments of record
  • Analysis of title data and reports
  • Interpret deeds, leases, court actions, probates, other documents impacting property ownership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Project or similar software programs in order to generate a variety of project reports in response to specific and varied queries
  • Ability to plot metes and bounds descriptions of property and read a variety of maps (electronic and paper)
  • Knowledge of industry software such as: SharePoint; Deed Drawing/Plotting, Greenbrier Graphics Net Deed Plotter, Google Earth Pro, and other database/document management systems

Water/Wastewater Project Manager - Oklahoma City

Poe & Associates is actively seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager for the Oklahoma City Office.  This position will require both technical design capabilities as well as project management experience to complete projects from initial conception through construction.  Additionally, the candidate act as a lead client service and relationship manager, specifically with municipal and special district clients.  Direct staff supervision experience is required for this position with the ability to manage team workload and staffing levels.

  • Must be an Oklahoma Licensed Professional Engineer

Microstation Technician/Designer - Oklahoma City and/or Tulsa

Poe & Associates is actively seeking multiple MicroStation Technician/Designers for both the Oklahoma City and Tulsa Offices. This individual should demonstrate competence in production of engineering documents utilizing the MicroStation drafting platform. Applicants with experience with CADD will be considered provided relevant project experience is presented. Candidates involvement could include both structural and roadway aspects of major highway and street projects, along with associated utility and right-of-way components, as well as water and wastewater projects. This individual will work directly with engineers and other technical staff for the design of transportation, water and sewer distribution, water and sewer treatment, and other civil engineering projects.


  • Computer Literacy - technical software, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Verbal/written communication skills
  • A candidate that is an established technician with ODOT, OTA, county, municipality, or utility experience is a plus, but not required.

Construction Inspector - Statewide

Poe & Associates is actively seeking construction inspectors for projects throughout the State of Oklahoma. Construction Inspectors must demonstrate competence in construction observation and project documentation. Project involvement will include major highway, roadway, street, water and wastewater construction projects within Oklahoma. This individual will work directly with Contractors, Resident Engineers and other technical staff. Qualifications include computer literacy (technical software, Microsoft Word and Excel), as well as verbal/written communications skills.

 Additional desired qualifications:

  1. Experience with ODOT, OTA, County, Municipality, and Utility construction
  2. ODOT Material Sampling
  3. ODEQ Class D Operators License
