Robert has over 40 years of transportation experience including roadway design, project management and all areas within the right of way industry. Prior to joining Poe, Robert was the Chief of the Right of Way & Utilities Division for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) where he was responsible for overseeing all functions of the statewide Right of Way & Utilities program. This included the delivery of all right of way projects to meet construction schedules, funding agreements, management of contracts, the eminent domain process, the relocation assistance program, the coordination of utilities adjustments, the outdoor advertising regulatory program and the disposal of real property no longer necessary for a transportation purpose.

Prior to that, Robert held the position of the ODOT’s acquisition manager for over 11 years and was responsible for the acquisition of all right of way necessary for the ODOT’s statewide transportation program including all Local Government project needs. This includes the delivery of right of way projects to meet construction schedules, funding agreements, management of contracts, the eminent domain process and all administrative process reviews, including the review and recommendation of all potential administrative reviews and property management issues for a diverse range of ODOT projects.

Robert is an active member of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) and holds the SR/WA designation and is also certified in Negotiations/acquisitions, R/W NAC.
