James Benson

Mr. Benson has over 41 years of engineering experience. In 1999, Mr. Benson joined Poe & Associates as a senior member of the firm where his experience with design and management of transportation projects expanded the company’s capabilities in that area. His design experience includes highway and street design and construction, roadway reconstruction and rehabilitation, runways and taxiways, pavement designs and investigations, traffic studies, roadway signing, feasibility studies, and bridge repairs. Jim has served as Principal-in-Charge of numerous projects including highway and bridge improvements, street projects, water lines, sewer lines, as well as other utilities projects. Mr. Benson served as the Oklahoma City Office Manager from 2001 to 2012 until being named President of the company in early 2012. As President, Mr. Benson is responsible for directing operations in all three offices in Oklahoma and Kansas.
