Poe & Associates was selected by the City of Oklahoma City to prepare all roadway and roadway-related plans for Bryant Avenue, beginning 300 feet south at S.E. 89th Street and extending north to the south frontage road intersection of I-240. Poe provided traffic data for the project as well as a traffic signal warrant study at the SE 89th Street Intersection. Poe performed all field topographic surveys required for the design of the project as well as all section surveys required for establishing control. The new roadway is a four-lane undivided section with curb and gutter, storm sewers, and sidewalks. Poe also provided pavement design. Included in the roadway design was grading, drainage, surfacing, signing, striping, and traffic control during construction.

Poe & Associates also oversaw the construction of Bryant Avenue in south Oklahoma City. Poe’s construction management duties have included:

  • Documented daily construction activities including quantities installed.
  • Reviewed and approved progressive estimates and performed final quantity audit.
  • Negotiated and prepared change orders on the City’s behalf.
  • Chaired construction progress meetings.
  • Provided onsite engineering support for field change resolution.
  • Maintained material testing log and provided recommendations to the City on test results.
  • Ensured project was constructed per the plans and specifications and provided the City with recommendations for correction when the specifications were not met.
  • Provided weekly updates to the City on the Contractors progress.
  • Insured temporary traffic control and erosion control was maintained throughout construction.
  • Responded to contractors RFIs.
  • Maintained As-Built drawings.
  • Worked with City staff to insure the project documents were prepared to City standards.
  • Communicated with adjacent property owners to resolve complaints as a result of the project.
